About
Developer, builder, tinkerer.
I'm İsmail — a Senior DevOps Engineer based in İzmir, Turkey. I've been building software and infrastructure for over 14 years, starting as a full-stack web developer and gradually moving deeper into backend systems, automation, and operations.
Currently working on large-scale real-time market data platforms serving global investment banks. Before that, I spent 4+ years building head-end systems and automatic meter reading infrastructure for the energy sector — .NET Core microservices, RabbitMQ, Docker Swarm, and MongoDB at scale.
Outside of work, I build iOS apps for the developer community, experiment with AI-powered automation workflows, run a homelab that hosts more services than I'd like to admit, and write about DevOps on Medium — mostly in Turkish, always from experience rather than theory.
